Nelson Mandela Day – Global Access Seeding the Future – #ThinkBeyond67

Description
  • Nelson Mandela Day calls on us all, every day, to make the world a better place. This year for Nelson Mandela Day we joined Food & Trees for Africa planting trees at Seotloana Primary School in Tembisa.

Planting a tree may seem like a small gesture but it is a small gesture that lasts a lifetime. We spent ou r 67 minutes, planting a fruit orchard at this school. Not only will the orchard bear fruit and provide some food security in the future, but it plants a seed.

A seed in the children and community and ourselves, of pride, greater environmental awareness and a culture of growing one’s own food.

#ThinkBeyond67 minutes and make a change that lasts.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” – Nelson Mandela
