Nelson Mandela Day calls on us all, every day, to make the world a better place. This year for Nelson Mandela Day we joined Food & Trees for Africa planting trees at Seotloana Primary School in Tembisa.
Planting a tree may seem like a small gesture but it is a small gesture that lasts a lifetime. We spent ou r 67 minutes, planting a fruit orchard at this school. Not only will the orchard bear fruit and provide some food security in the future, but it plants a seed.
A seed in the children and community and ourselves, of pride, greater environmental awareness and a culture of growing one’s own food.
#ThinkBeyond67 minutes and make a change that lasts.
